Google Campaigns allows eCommerce sellers to sell their products on Google Search.

This guide will try and help regarding potential issues when setting up Google Campaigns Ads.

Before you start

  • You’ll need an Admin login to If you don’t have an Admin login, you can request one from an Admin user within your business.
  • You will need to have your Google Campaigns setup completed. To find out how to do it click here.

01 Why is my campaign not serving ads?

There could be many different reasons why your Google Ad campaign isn't serving ads. The best to get this resolved is to double-check the following settings:

  • Onboarding incomplete
Your Google Ads campaign will not work if you didn't finish the Google Campaigns onboarding. To review all of the Google Campaigns Onboarding steps, click here.
  • No billing added to Google Ads account
You need to have Billing Details added to your Google Ads account in order for your campaigns to work. To find out more about Google Ads Billing, click here.
  • The campaign is paused/removed

If your Google Ads campaigns are paused or even removed, no ads will be displaying. You need to have the Eligible status activated for all your campaigns.

  • No campaign set up at all
You need to have campaigns set up in your Google Ads account in order for ads to show. If you're not sure how to set up a campaign, click here.
  • No active products - technical issue
Sometimes it can happen that you receive a "no active products" alert.

What we would recommend doing is consulting the Diagnostics section in your Google account and contacting our Support Team for further assistance if nothing stands out.
  • Account has been suspended
If your Google Ads account violates Google's policy you might get suspended. If this is the case, you will be notified via email and you will be able to request a review. To find out more about this, click here.
  • The campaign has been disapproved as did not meet Google's requirements
If one of your ads has been disapproved, it, unfortunately, means that the ad isn't able to run at the moment. To get your ad up and running, find out which ad was disapproved and then edit it so that it meets Google's advertising policies.

  • Smart Shopping campaign is still in Learning mode (5 days)
Remember that your Google Ad campaign won't be displayed for the first 5 days after being created, this is to allow campaigns optimization in time and performance. To find out more about this, click here.
